Linn is a Swedish/Dutch actor, theatre-maker & singer/songwriter. Her work over the past decade has included assistant directing at Malmö Theatre as well as producing, writing, directing & acting in various plays for & with young people. She is an authorised drama teacher & draws on her pedagogical work in her theatre practice. Linn is also former artistic co-director for "Teater Norma" in Sweden & co-producer of Studio Festival. Her work so far in the UK includes Complicité, The Queen's Theatre, The Bread & Roses Theatre, Theatre 503 & Tristan Bates.
Since 2014, Matthew’s work as an actor, deviser & movement director has included Complicité, E.N.O., Lyric Hammersmith, The Vaults, Leicester Curve, & BBC. He co-created & produced ‘This Might Be It’ at Theatre N16 in 2016, & is former artistic co-director for Vantage Point Theatre. From 2014-16, he produced The Studio Festival on behalf of RCSSD, creating a platform for students & alumni to develop new work in professional fringe theatres.

Artistic Rebellion is a theatre company formed by Linn Johansson (Les Enfant Terribles, Trinity Theatre) and Matthew Coulton (Complicité, Leicester Curve). Based in the UK and Sweden, we are devoted to giving voice to unheard stories - questioning norms and inequality by creating inventive, playful and multidisciplinary work.
Previous performances include Fertility Fest 2019 (Barbican), and ‘Lillhjärtat & Gosedjuren’ (Varberg Children’s Festival 2018, Sweden) to celebrate the UN Rights of the Child Bill.
